Zhogov Petre
Petre Zhogov was born in Breznica, Kostur region in
1921. He was a well-developed youth and during the Nazi
occupation was among the first to join the military
units of CPG. Petre was committed to CPG. As a secretary
of the village party organisation he achieved a serious
level of activity in organising his neighbours into
CPG and EAM.
After the Varkiza agreement, because of his party activity
he was followed by the reactionary forces, and because
of that he went overseas. However, at the start of 1947
he returned to voluntarily join the ranks of DAG. He
completed officer school at the DAG headquarters and
as an officer took part in many battles.
He was killed on 22 July 1948 in the great battles
on Gramos.
